Good reasons to be there
In the Christian faith, the church preserves a truth that people cannot tell themselves.
A church like St Mary's is a place of peace and reflection. Our society is well advised to cultivate such places. In St. Mary's, people stand up for others with prayers and church services. They also do this on behalf of society.
Church Sundays and holidays with their themes, music and atmosphere characterise the year. Wherever people go or move to, they also meet the worldwide Christian community.
Everyone can contribute to this.

Baptism: Welcome to the Community
With baptism, a person is accepted into the community of the church. The baptismal blessing "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit" makes it clear that God becomes active in the life of the person being baptised.
The baptismal candle is a sign of the light of life, which signifies hope and the future. The choice of a baptismal chant is very important for a Protestant baptism ceremony.
The person to be baptised needs one or two godparents who will help to ensure that the child grows up and is brought up in the faith. If you cannot find a godparent, please contact us - we will find a solution. The baptism of children or adults can take place in a separate baptism service or as part of the regular church service.

Grief and Farewell | Funerals
We would also like to stand by you and accompany you in the difficult times of life.
Funeral services can also be held in St Mary's Church on request. St Mary's pastors will also accompany you to cemeteries or other churches.
