Robert Pfeifer has been pastor at St Marien since 2011. He was born in Itzehoe in 1968, studied theology in Neuendettelsau, Heidelberg, Oslo and Kiel and was a vicar in St Thomas' parish in Lübeck. From 2000 to 2005, he was parish pastor in Halstenbek (Pinneberg district) and then parish pastor at St Lorenz in Travemünde until 2011. He is the commissioner for confirmation work in the Lübeck-Lauenburg church district and a member of the working group for the conceptualisation of rules for working with confirmands in the North Church.

Robert Pfeifer is deputy chairman of the parish council and a member of the synod of the Lübeck-Lauenburg church district.
